Framo Morat, Inc. at MODEX 2026: Drive Technology for Efficient Intralogistics
Framo Morat, Inc. will present its drive technology solutions for automated intralogistics at MODEX 2026, one of the leading international trade shows for supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics technologies. The exhibition will take place April 13–16, 2026, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA. Visitors can meet the team of Framo Morat, Inc. at Booth A1605, where the company will showcase drive solutions designed to increase efficiency, reliability, and performance in automated material handling and warehouse systems.
NEW: Satellite Vehicle Drive System for Automated Warehouse Application
Retail logistics is evolving rapidly - and automation is key to meeting growing demands for speed, availability, and space efficiency. Together with a stealth robotics company preparing for its first commercial deployment, Framo Morat has developed a custom drive system for a satellite vehicle used in automated warehouse applications.
The solution combines a compact vehicle architecture, an integrated electrical system, and an innovative gripper concept based on Framo Morat’s proprietary speeroX gear technology. This enables high storage density, reliable continuous operation, and improved picking performance in modern fulfillment environments.
Further details are available online, and the satellite vehicle will also be on display at the Framo Morat booth at MODEX 2026.
Hub Gear Drives and Integrated Wheel Hub Drive Systems for AGVs and AMRS
AGVs and AMRs are driving the next wave of automation in intralogistics - requiring compact, high-performance drive systems that deliver precision, payload, and uptime. Framo Morat’s proven hub gear platform is at the core of numerous applications, enabling scalable, high-torque wheel drives across a wide range of vehicle concepts.
At MODEX, Framo Morat highlights several customer solutions based on this platform: drive systems for the iw.hub from idealworks and the Open Shuttle from KNAPP, both built on the hub gear NG500. Additional examples include the ultra-compact MID15 (Gen 2) wheel hub drive from Schabmüller for low-profile AGVs/AMRs, as well as highly integrated drive systems for cleaning robots such as the CR700C/D from Adlatus. Framo Morat technology is also used in the Filics Unit, a next-generation AMR for floor-based pallet transport with two independently moving robotic skids.
This platform-based approach allows OEMs to realize application-specific drive solutions with high power density, compact integration, and proven performance in the field.
New: The hub drive platform is now also available with optional Mecanum wheels, enabling omnidirectional vehicle movement for maximum maneuverability, precise positioning, and efficient operation in confined spaces.
Further drive solutions on display include:
- Compacta gear motors for high-bay warehouses, shuttle systems, and conveyor technology — compact, high torque density, and reliable in continuous operation
- Linear drive systems (actuators, electric cylinders, screw jacks) for lifting, positioning, and handling tasks with high precision and force
- Customized gear components for material handling equipment, cranes, and conveyor systems, tailored to specific application requirements
