KPA Ulm 2026: The Franz Morat Group presents plastic and hybrid solutions for compact, low-noise drives in automotive and industry
How can drive solutions made of plastic and hybrid materials be implemented reliably, quietly, and efficiently - while consistently keeping weight, installation space, and cost in focus? The Franz Morat Group will be providing answers at KPA Messe (Kunststoff Produkte Aktuell) in Ulm on February 25–26, 2026.
For the second time, we will be exhibiting and will showcase plastic components, hybrid parts, as well as complete assemblies and actuators in Hall 1 | Booth C5. Under the umbrella of the Franz Morat Group, drive solutions for automotive and industrial applications are created - from the initial idea and development through to series production, all from a single source.
Successful partnership: RAD angular drive from maxon with speeroX gear set for medical technology
In modern medical technology, drive systems must meet the highest demands. In addition to strict safety and hygiene standards, they must also be compact enough to fit into the often limited space within medical devices. For example, to enable surgical robots to perform dynamic movements, a high power density with clever spatial arrangement is essential. Abrasive wear that could increase backlash is unacceptable – this is the only way to achieve the high precision required.
Framo Morat presents enhanced hub gear platform at LogiMAT
Visit us from March 11–13, 2025, at LogiMAT in Stuttgart and explore our latest drive solutions for intralogistics in Hall 8 – Booth C01. This year’s focus is on expanding our successful hub gear platform with the new NG750, which enables higher radial loads of up to 750 kg per wheel.

Framo Morat Expands Portfolio with FPR Hybrid Components
In collaboration with the wbk Institute of Production Science at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Framo Morat has researched and tested an advanced manufacturing process for the efficient production of hybrid components made from fiber-reinforced plastics (FRP). The goal is to create lightweight, high-strength drive elements for industrial use.

Framo Morat extends technology spectrum by adding Radial Gear Chamfering and deburring
In the field of metal-cutting gearing, increasingly complex and demanding component geometries require burr-free edges and precise surfaces in production. To prepare for these requirements, Framo Morat GmbH & Co. KG has expanded its competencies in gear cutting technology and added a RGC 350 deburring machine from TEC for GEARS to its machine pool. The Radial Gear Chamfering process allows defined and reproducible chamfers to be produced on the tooth front edges. This not only has a positive effect on the quality and functionality of the components, but is also decisive for the cost-effectiveness of parts production.
