Omnidirectional driving is becoming increasingly important in intralogistics – especially for AGVs and AMRs. For a new generation of compact platform vehicles, a high-performance drive-steering unit based on the NG500 was developed and integrated into an existing system.
The solution enables maximum maneuverability with a low installation height and is ideally suited for applications requiring high flexibility and efficient use of space.

Compact Drive Solution for AGV-Based Pallet Scissor Lift Tables
In automated material handling processes, AGVs equipped with pallet scissor lift tables play a key role in enabling flexible transfer between conveyor systems. For a mobile material handling solution developed by GEBHARDT Fördertechnik GmbH, a compact and high-performance lifting application is used. Two Compacta AG160 slip-on geared motors from Framo Morat, combined with two Linear Chain push chains from GROB Antriebstechnik GmbH, enable precise and reliable lifting of pallets, wire mesh containers, and large load carriers weighing up to 1,500 kg (3,307 lbs). The solution combines high power density, reliable power transmission, and space-saving integration, making it ideal for mobile and stationary material handling applications.
