Verification and validation at Framo Morat
Once your prototype is ready, we begin a comprehensive testing process combining theory and practice. To this end, we design and build application-specific test benches that are perfectly customized to your requirements. Complete validation according to your specifications ensures that all testing requirements and approval criteria are met. Our experts analyze the test specimens in detail, evaluate the validation results systematically, and compile complete test documentation. If required, we can also provide on-site support during the validation process and assist you with product certification.
During the verification phase, we check that our solution meets the agreed specifications. This includes two- and three-dimensional measurements, noise measurements, motor tests, leak and climate resistance tests, and comprehensive endurance tests.
During the validation phase, we check that our drive systems deliver the expected performance in real-life situations. To do this, the products are tested in real-life conditions and monitored over their simulated service life. We use state-of-the-art sensor technology to collect real-time data, which we use for our ongoing improvement processes.
Acoustic testing
We investigate noise performance in controlled conditions by measuring airborne and structure-borne noise and performing frequency analyses. During the early development stage, we identify critical noise aspects, systematically reducing them in successive prototypes. This is how we ensure that the products meet the predefined requirements and win over the market with their noise-optimized design.
Motor testing
We subject individual motors to preliminary tests to validate critical components at an early stage. This forms the basis for product and field validations. By means of detailed protocols, we create transparency, enable accurate error analysis, and identify potential weaknesses in the early development phases. Customer feedback is taken on board directly, customized solutions are worked out, and cost-effective development is ensured through transmission-independent testing.
Endurance testing
Our endurance tests are based on the specifications and focus on specific parameters such as torque, speed and defined loads. Depending on customer requirements, we adapt the tests—both in terms of individual functions and complex processes. We use test benches developed in-house to perform comprehensive functional tests and compare the key characteristics with the specifications.
Testing in operating conditions
We simulate real operating conditions to ensure robustness and viability. This involves continuously monitoring the product throughout its service life and conducting stress tests to check its stability in extreme situations. State-of-the-art sensor technologies provide real-time data. We use this to produce detailed analyses and reports, which we then incorporate directly into improvement measures.
Tensile and compression testing
To evaluate products in detail, we have a wide calibration scale ranging from 1 to 1,000 kN. Precise measurements with a tolerance of less than 0.001 mm enable applications in assembly, prototype construction, stress analysis, and gear testing. This also includes break tests to ensure product integrity. Seamless documentation provides a valuable basis for optimizing your series production.
