Our planetary gearboxes transform high-speed rotation into precise, high-torque motion. What all models have in common: They are equipped with ground helical gears, full-needle roller bearings, and a one-piece solid planetary carrier. This ensures maximum smoothness of operation and exceptionally low noise levels in every application. In addition, all of our planetary gearboxes are protected to IP65 due to an extra shaft seal, making them resistant to water and dust ingress.

Our product range consists of seven standard product lines, each with its own design priorities and configuration. They are divided into high-end gearboxes, which offer maximum precision, and high-end economy gearboxes, which deliver excellent cost-effectiveness and short delivery times. Many models from our standard series are available from stock or can be delivered at short notice in appropriate quantities.
Within each product line, you can choose the number of gear stages, gear ratios, backlash specifications, and housing sizes. The achievable output and acceleration torques for the planetary gearbox are determined by these parameters.

Custom-engineered planetary gearboxes
Are you looking for a planetary gearbox that precisely fits your specific application? With our wide range of gearing types, materials, bearings, lubricants, and sizes, we can tailor the performance of your planetary gearbox to your specific requirements and design priorities.
Since we have experience with both metal and plastic gearings, we can also provide hybrid planetary gearboxes with high-performance plastic gear components. We typically manufacture fast-rotating gear stages from plastic and slow-rotating, heavily loaded stages from steel components. This enables us to develop exceptionally lightweight and quiet planetary gearboxes for your application.
The planetary gearbox is our starting point, but not the limit of our development expertise. We also take on the development of complete custom-engineered drive systems where planetary stages are just one part of a comprehensive solution. Modular linear systems for automation and manufacturing
Modular linear systems are used whenever there are requirements for high positioning accuracy and high motion dynamics: such as in industrial 3D printing and laser cutting machines, automated production lines, and pick-and-place applications in electronics manufacturing.
Framo Morat's high-precision linear systems consist of a high-end GSD planetary gearbox, a high-precision helical pinion, and a high-precision rack. This system design enables us to achieve exceptional positioning accuracy with tolerances of less than 1 µm and highly dynamic process speeds of up to 300 m/min.
Depending on the application, the planetary gearbox can be combined with a matching pinion and corresponding rack in the required size. If the application requires it, the drive unit can also be equipped with an automatic lubrication system.
