Industrialization and automation at Framo Morat
Industrial series production is about far more than simply manufacturing gearing components or drive systems in large quantities. It all begins with the strategic selection and certification of suppliers, the definition of requirements and quality specifications, and the early feasibility study as part of a make-or-buy analysis. Based on the specifications we develop in collaboration with you, we create series drawings, parts lists, and test plans. We coordinate with series suppliers on quality assurance and delivery requirements and use a structured sampling process based on your specifications to ensure a smooth transition to stable production. A P-FMEA (process FMEA) and the submission of series prices are also an integral part of this step.
In-house assembly line
At the same time, we plan and implement industrial production in our plants—from the design and construction of customized assembly lines through to the integration of end-of-line test benches that reliably ensure the required product quality. This also includes creating clearly structured assembly instructions that ensure reproducibility and process reliability.
In-house automation specialists
Automation is a key factor to success. As part of the overall development process, we create customized automation solutions for series production. This involves coordinating mechanical, electrical, and software components with precision and combining them into a fully functional automation system. We develop and design assembly lines and end-of-line test benches, automate manual processes along the entire production chain, and focus on the intelligent integration of sensor technology, actuators, and cutting-edge PLC technology.
Transparent digital processes
We develop and implement customized PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for the control and monitoring of complex processes. Our detailed circuit diagrams and professional switch cabinet designs ensure reliable electrical equipment that’s perfectly aligned with the requirements of series production. In addition, we modernize existing systems by retrofitting them to bring them up to the latest state of the art.
For networked manufacturing, we connect machines and systems using established interfaces such as OPC-UA, MQTT and REST APIs, creating the basis for efficient collection, evaluation, and use of process data. This not only enables ongoing optimization, but also a sustainable increase in transparency and cost-effectiveness.
Consistently high quality
Taking this comprehensive approach, from selecting suppliers to integrating digital systems, we support you from the initial idea right through to commissioning. This is how we can ensure that your products are manufactured using stable, automated processes and prove their quality reliably in cost-effective series production.
