Gear technology and gearbox components

Our range of gearing components includes spur and helical gears, pinion and rotor shafts, ring gears, sprockets, gear segments, and special profiles – all individually adapted to meet customer requirements. In addition to our catalog of standard worm gear sets for center distances between 17 and 80 mm, we also manufacture fully customized worm gear sets designed to match specific customer requirements. The latest innovation in gear technology is the speeroX gearing, developed in-house by Framo Morat. This is engineered to achieve high ratios and transmit power around a corner in a single stage. Through our plastic injection molding production process, we manufacture high-quality gearing components as well as technical parts in general, such as housings and covers that need to meet high standards of precision, durability, and temperature resistance.

Metal gears

Gear technology is our specialty: For more than 110 years, we have been manufacturing gears with internal and external teeth, rotor shafts, pinions, sprockets according to customer specifications, as well as a wide range of custom solutions. Depending on your requirements, we use a wide range of materials: steel, aluminum, various non-ferrous metals, and plastics.

Worm gear sets

With around 1.5 million worm gear sets produced annually, Framo Morat is a market leader. In addition to our standard series, we also offer customized solutions that are manufactured from a wide variety of materials in diameters ranging from 15 to 300 mm and center distances ranging from 17 to 150 mm, depending on requirements.

speeroX

Our proprietary speeroX gearing provides significant advantages over conventional gearbox designs – in terms of performance, efficiency, noise level, service life, and installation space thanks to application-specific adjustments. speeroX gear sets are available in both steel-steel and plastic-metal pairings.

Plastic gears

We have been producing plastic gearing components for more than 60 years, and we are pioneers in precision plastic injection molding. We process engineering thermoplastics, plastics with fillers and reinforcement materials, and high-temperature-resistant materials such as PEEK – enabling us to offer the most suitable material for each application.

Hybrid components

Where single materials reach their limits, hybrid components open up new possibilities. By combining different materials – metal and plastic, or two plastics with different properties – we create solutions that would be impossible to achieve with one material alone.

Plastic housings and technical components

Plastic housings integrate gears, shafts, and bearings into functional systems that protect them from environmental influences. Technical components fulfill a variety of additional functions: They seal, support, connect, and enable movement.
