Our development process
We operate a clear and transparent process that takes you from development through prototype construction and validation to series production of your drive system. Whenever we reach a milestone, we discuss the results with you, and you approve the next development step. Specification
Your application is the starting point for every new drive solution. Where is it used? Which mechanical properties does it need to fulfill? Which environmental conditions does it have to be able to cope with? Which regulatory requirements must be observed? And what are your specific challenges? In the specifications, we jointly define the test requirements and approval criteria on which we base the design of your drive.
Concept and feasibility studies
Our development team first starts work on the functional specification. We’ll show you different strategies for powering your application, evaluate these options, and carry out feasibility studies. In this step, we review the choice of metal, plastic or a combination of both materials, in addition to cost-effectiveness, producibility and ease of servicing and repair.
We work closely with you to develop the final specifications for your drive system. Based on this, we can provide you with a realistic milestone schedule and a well-founded offer for development and product costs.
Design and construction
Developed in collaboration with you, the specification provides the basis for our development team. Starting with basic functional prototypes, our engineers and technical designers refine the drive until they have a final detailed design.
We use state-of-the-art CAD and calculation software to design the gearing components and construct the drive system. This enables us to perform load-bearing calculations and stress analyses, identify and eliminate sources of error, and consider the material-appropriate manufacture of metal and plastic components at an early stage in the development process.
