Prototype production using machining processes
In our project engineering department, we can quickly produce samples as well as preproduction and small series. In the process, we use metal cutting processes to manufacture a wide variety of gearing parts, housings, and a broad spectrum of drive components and production equipment from metal and plastic blanks. Our own machine fleet, including a 5-axis milling center and state-of-the-art measuring technology, enables us to produce prototypes for validation purposes quickly and with great flexibility.
Prototype production using additive manufacturing processes
For even better versatility, we’ve set up an additive manufacturing area for plastic 3D printing using different processes. These include FDM systems, whose layering technology makes them particularly suitable for the production of fixtures, grippers, and mold inserts. Polyjet systems offer even greater precision and are the ultimate choice for selected components made from transparent or elastic materials. Using stereolithography, we achieve the best quality results for gearing components in terms of precision, detail, and comparability with injection molding results. Not only that, but the range of materials that can be used with this technology is huge and even includes high-temperature-resistant and filled materials. Thanks to additive manufacturing, we can test design approaches with rapid prototypes. This means we are able not only to manufacture individual prototype components, but also to build entire functional assemblies.

Consequently, the design and function of the prototypes are very similar to the subsequent series products; together, we can verify and validate all aspects of your drive system at an early stage.
