Franz Morat Group builds training center at new plant / Additional expansion of floor space planned at company headquarters

EISENBACH, Germany. The Franz Morat Group has moved into a new plant in Eisenbach, Germany, across the street from its headquarters on the high plains of the Höchst. The building was already acquired by the company Grieshaber Feinmechanik in 2018. Due to the expansion, the names of all the plants in Eisenbach have been extended. The name of the Framo Morat production facility carries the add-on Plant 1, while F. Morat received the add-on Plant 2.

The site of the new Plant 3 covers an area of around 3,000 m². Spread over three stories, the building has usable floor space of around 2,300 m². The upper floor houses the Training Center & Assembly and the Technical Service department. The machinery covers all the technologies relevant for the industrial mechanic training program.

Framo Morat, Inc. moves into new company building in Duluth, Georgia

Framo Morat, Inc. has relocated its sales office to Duluth, GA and moved into a 700 m² area of a modern building complex. The new business premises are divided into approx. 250 m² of office space, 100 m² for repair & service and 350 m² for warehousing and logistics.

Franz Morat Group receives MobilSiegel certification

On 16 September 2021, 38 companies and administrations from Freiburg and the districts of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald and Emmendingen were awarded the ‘MobilSiegel – klimafreundlich zur Arbeit’ (MobilSiegel – climate-friendly to work) seal for their commitment to sustainable mobility.

Freiburg's Lord Mayor Martin Horn, the Chief Administrative Officer of the district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald Dr Martin Barth and District Administrator Hanno Hurth presented the certificates and prizes to the companies at the administrative building of Freiburger Verkehrs AG (VAG).

Successful certification in accordance with IATF 16949

In October 2016, the new IATF 16949:2016 standard was published. It supersedes the ISO/TS 16949 standard, which has been the effective global quality standard in the automotive industry so far. Since January 2017, companies have had the option of becoming certified in accordance with the new standard. Both F. Morat (November 2017) and Framo Morat (January 2018) have successfully completed the conversion to the new standard.

Family Day at the Franz Morat Group

On Saturday, July 8, 2017, the family party for the Franz Morat Group was held as part of a day of events. The Franz Morat Group invited its active employees and retirees along with their families to a family party at the Eisenbach location. With mostly sunny weather, tasty food and a variety of supporting events lined up, they were in high spirits and celebrated well into the night.
