Hard-fine machining

Our hard-fine processing methods include profile grinding, generation grinding, internal grinding and external grinding, as well as hard turning and hole honing.

External grinding

External grinding is used for grinding of cylinders and surfaces on the outer diameter of cylindrical parts. With our automated, highly productive CNC external grinding machines with a variety of grinding methods such as CBN peel grinding or corundom plunge grinding we have the ability to deliver high-quality yet economical production of a wide range of wave-shaped parts.

Our machining capabilities include six external grinding machines from many major manufacturers like Junker, Kellenberger, und Tschudin. Selected machines may be viewed here.

Internal grinding

Internal grinding is a method for grinding holes or surfaces on the inner diameter of cylindrical parts with frequently varying pivoting grinding spindles. Through the use of automated, highly productive CNC hobbing machines of various sizes we have the ability to perform high-quality yet economical production of a wide range of parts.

Our machining capabilities include three internal grinding machines from major manufacturers like Voumard.

Profile grinding / generation grinding

Using automated CNC profile and generation grinding machines of various sizes, we are able to produce a wide range of toothed parts. When compared to other gear-cutting methods, grinding is distinguished by good machinability of hard materials, high dimensional and shape accuracy, and low waviness and roughness of the ground surfaces. Our grinding experts have many years of experience that enable them to economically fulfill your quality requirements with respect to dimensionally accurate parts that are free of grinder burn.

Our machining capabilities include two generation grinding machines and seven profile grinding machines from major manufacturers like Reishauer, Welter, Haas, SMS, and Monnier & Zahner. Selected machines may be viewed here.

Honing

Honing is a cutting-based method of fine machining. The use of automated, highly productive CNC rotary table drilling and honing machines for surface treatment enables improved dimensional and shape accuracy of the workpieces.

Our machining capabilities include two drilling and honing machines from manufacturers Nagel and Sunnen.
