Manufacturing
Our high level of vertical integration—both in metalworking and plastic injection molding—and our comprehensive quality control guarantee high-quality results at competitive prices.
At Framo Morat, all quality-critical metalworking steps, such as turning, gear cutting, external cylindrical grinding, profile grinding, gear grinding, gear hobbing, and gear shaping, are carried out in-house. As one of the few manufacturers in our industry, we also have our own heat treatment processes.
In plastic injection molding technology, the cornerstone of our success is our in-house toolmaking department, which is equipped with CAD-CAM systems, state-of-the-art CNC turning and milling machines, and wire and die-sinking EDM machines. In production, we process all thermoplastics and make the best possible use of their specific properties. Framo Morat is one of the few manufacturers that processes a wide variety of fillers and reinforcing materials as well as the high-temperature-resistant plastic PEEK for precision parts.
From prototype to series production
We use a wide range of technical monitoring and control systems in our manufacturing processes:
- Internal pressure and temperature sensors
- Final part inspections
- Batch-pure sorting
- Statistical process control
- Machine capability studies (MFU)
- Optical and tactile measuring methods
- Gear rolling tests
- Other part- and customer-specific test criteria
Because nothing is as convincing as a product that meets our customers' expectations!
However, achieving optimum product quality is not just a matter of the machines, but also of the people who work on them. Of our approximately 700 employees, around 70% have specialist training and 10% are currently undergoing training and further education.
