Hub Gears for Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) – Now Including the New NG 750
Our hub gear platform, including the NG 250, NG 500, the new NG 750, and customer-specific designs, offers maximum flexibility for different load capacities. Its compact design saves installation space, various gear ratios cover a wide range of applications, and wheels can be replaced easily. A service life of up to 30,000 hours ensures reliability and durability. All hub gears are available in single- and two-stage versions with PUR wheels and standardized flanges for easy motor adaption. Customer-specific options, such as brush seals or belt drives, are also possible.
Framo Morat also develops customized drives for AGVs and AMRs; here are just a few examples:

- The iw.hub from idealworks uses our NG500 hub gear for autonomous under-ride transport.
- Filics, employing a double skid system, relies on ultra-compact drives for omnidirectional movement and block storage automation.
- The Open Shuttle from KNAPP combines the NG500 with a BLDC motor for precise control.
- Adlatus‘s cleaning robots use a compact hub gear drive for reliable, efficient operation.
New: speeroX Plastic-Metal Variant
The technology portfolio has recently been supplemented by our specifically developed gearing technology for angular gearboxes – speeroX. Within a project together with maxon motor, specialist of high precision motors and drives, speeroX has been developed and successfully tested for surgical robots, enabling exact positioning in very limited installation space. Following numerous successful tests of individually engineered steel-steel material pairings in various customer projects, speeroX has been further researched and developed and is now available as a plastic-metal pairing. This combines the advantages of precision metal gearing with the weight-saving and noise reducing benefits of plastics. This opens up even more possibilities for applications requiring maximum efficiency in tight installation spaces.
Slip-on geared motor Compacta
The Compacta series gearmotors are ready-to-install, customer defined electromechanical drives in which the speed of the built-in electric motor is reduced to the desired value via two to four gear stages. They offer high performance, long service life, and a compact, lightweight design. Integrated limit switching devices make them the perfect match for applications in reversing operations. In addition to a range of predefined standard variants, the modular system also allows for custom modifications tailored to specific applications, such as in the semiconductor industry where they are used to open and close lids on process chambers, or in automated warehouses to aid in the flow of goods.
