The stairlift drive developed by Framo Morat consists of a total of three individual drives: the main drive for the up and down movement of the lift, the seat swivel drive, which makes the lift easy to get on and off, and the drive for tilt correction, which ensures that the seat always remains in a horizontal position on different inclines within a section of stairs. 


Two worm gears were installed in a shoulder mobility splint: One raises and lowers the patient’s arm, and the second performs a rotational movement of the shoulder. This allows a motion to be generated corresponding to the natural movement pattern of the shoulder. Post-operative movement of the shoulder requires maximum precision, since the movement passes over dead center at the top. Excessive gear backlash can be painful for the patient, which is why our gears are manufactured with a total backlash less than 1.5°.
A three-stage spur gear was developed for a stair climber. The stair climber is very easy to attach to standard wheelchairs for transporting wheelchair users weighing up to 160 kg up and down stairs. Since this application demanded extremely smooth operation and high performance, particular attention was paid to the quality of the gear components. Autonomous mobile disinfection robots consist of a self-driving platform equipped with a UV system. Ultraviolet light is used to disinfect surfaces and kill pathogens such as viruses, bacteria and other types of harmful microorganisms. The user-friendly UV robot reduces operating costs and functions safely and reliably. The robots are equipped with high-precision, ultra-compact wheel hub gears from Framo Morat. When the cleaning staff starts one up, it moves quietly and autonomously from room to room.
In the electric pipette, the metered quantity of liquid is controlled via a miniature bevel gear set paired with a planetary stage. This enables automatic metering of liquids from the hand-held device in the desired quantity. With just the push of a button, it is able to dispense this quantity again. The electric pipette is used in research institutes and laboratories.
