Linear actuator series "MINI"
The MINI series stands out for its exceptionally compact design within its performance class, making it the ideal choice wherever space is limited. Despite its small footprint, it delivers precise, repeatable motion and high lifting forces thanks to powerful hollow-shaft motors and a robust spindle drive system.
Built for long-term reliability, the actuators feature lifetime lubrication, corrosion-resistant materials, and IP65 protection, ensuring dependable operation even in harsh conditions. A range of standard configurations and options provides maximum versatility across diverse applications.
Your advantages
High performance, compact size
Thanks to the hollow shaft drive, the smallest MINI Cylinder (186 mm length) can exert up to 1,000 N of force to lower or lift loads.
Suitable for harsh conditions
Thanks to its stainless materials and IP65 protection rating, the MINI Actuator finds application not only in the food industry but also anywhere harsh conditions are present.
Variable power supply
In the standard configuration, different motors can be used. Voltage options include 24V DC, 1x230V AC, and 3x 230/400V AC. Special voltages for markets with different grid voltages can also be accommodated.
High hygiene requirements
The MINI Cylinder complies with EU Regulation (EC) No. 852/2004 on food hygiene. Its round, compact design prevents dirt pockets, and it can be easily cleaned, even with high-pressure hot water.
Lifetime lubricated
The MINI Actuator is equipped with lifetime lubrication, meaning it doesn't require any lubrication. This significantly reduces maintenance effort and saves valuable time, as regular re-lubrication isn't necessary.
Custom configuration
Thanks to a wide range of standard available options, the MINI drives cover a very broad range of applications. Possible options include potentiometers, encoders, limit switches, planetary gearboxes, force-dependent shutdown, and others.
The MINI actuators: available in five sizes
MINI Actuators consist of a combination of spindle, nut, motor, and control devices, packaged in an optimized stainless steel or powder-coated housing. With this drive type, we rely on a PAN-bronze nut to maximize the MINI Actuator's lifespan. Additionally, MINI drives come standard with limit switches and safety limit switches to ensure timely shutdown at end positions. Thanks to the hollow shaft motor, the MINI Cylinder achieves its main advantage: minimal axial space requirement without sacrificing performance.
Here's an overview of our 5 sizes with a standard stroke of 300-500 mm and expandable with different connection heads and position switches:
MINI 0
up to 1 kN and 30 mm/s
MINI 01
up to 1.6 kN and 130 mm/s
MINI 1
up to 3.5 kN and 136 mm/s
MINI 2
up to 14.6 kN and 49 mm/s
MINI 3
up to 26 kN and 29 mm/s

Possible applications for the MINI actuators
Food technology
Due to their enclosed design, spindle actuators are particularly suitable for use in hygienic environments. Their stainless steel housings are resistant to aggressive cleaning agents and disinfectants, and are protected against high-pressure cleaning jets (IP65). Thanks to their compact design, they can be used for a wide variety of motion tasks: such as adjusting conveyor belts and filling systems, operating flaps on silos and mixers, regulating bulk material flows, and much more.
Construction machinery
In construction cranes, a spindle actuator releases the brakes for the wind-release system. In strong winds, the crane must be able to turn freely in the direction of the wind, like a weather vane, to minimize air resistance. If this is not possible, there is an increased risk of enormous wind forces acting on the structure, which could compromise its stability and, in the worst case scenario, cause the crane to tip over. Thus, the small drive assumes a safety-critical role here, one that requires utmost precision, reliability, and durability despite its compact size.
Automation
A compact design, low-maintenance operation, easy integration into industrial control systems, and precise movements with high repeatability: In automation technology, electromechanical spindle drives are a smart alternative to pneumatic and hydraulic systems. As a result, their range of applications is broad: In this case, the spindle drive precisely adjusts film rolls in the packaging industry.
Facade technology
Robust lifting spindle drives control the opening and closing of large glass fronts for air conditioning in large buildings. In smoke and heat extraction systems (SHE), our drives also ensure reliable operation even under extreme conditions such as heat and smoke. The low-maintenance design allows installation even in areas that are difficult to access. Thanks to their compact design, they can be integrated inconspicuously and guarantee safe operation in an emergency.
Plant engineering
In the ICE factory in Leipzig, 56 MINI 3 units are deployed. After the train is brought in, platforms are tilted to the edge of the roof using the linear actuators to secure against the fall of a worker from the train roof. This provides maintenance personnel with safe and efficient access – day after day, for many years to come.
Stage technology
Linear actuators play a crucial role as technical and safety-related innovations in the world of theater and musicals. A notable example of this are the MINI drives used in the stage technology of the renowned Volkstheater in Munich. 54 MINI Actuators are deployed to secure the stage platform. Specifically, by turning the spindle, a locking bolt is inserted into the stage element to lock the stage in its position. Due to the precise control of the drives, synchronous locking of the stage is enabled.
